Purpose

BIPO is seeking a Payroll Specialist and this candidate is accountable for providing accurate, timely and efficient payroll services to all BIPO’s customers in Hong Kong; for complex payroll calculations and transactions. The candidate will assist in the timely preparation of payroll related data, statistics, and other reports from the Human Resource Management System, as well as in the provision of an advisory and consultancy service to BIPO’s customers (on-site payroll HR Admin. support will be required) on a range of payroll related matters.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities, including salary disbursement, over-payment recovery, leave management and reporting are accurate and delivered within appropriate time frames and comply with relevant legislation
  • Prepare complex payroll and human resource information for data input and assist with checking, quality control and maintenance of records to ensure accuracy, service quality and data integrity
  • Assist our customers to meet their taxation, superannuation and other legislative and statutory obligations through processing and preparation of returns, related reports, forms and other documentation as requested
  • Provide a responsive, accurate client advisory service on payroll matters, resolve difficult enquiries and identify payroll errors and implementing corrective action where required to ensure employee payments are processed accurately and database integrity is maintained
  • Provide and promote service excellence and foster effective teamwork and business relationships
  • Contribute to the application and monitoring of HR practices, principles, and delegations
  • Make process improvements for customers by participating in a range of payroll and service delivery reform activities
  • Act as the key account coordinator for client communication at operations level
  • Assist in employment visa applications and renewals for client
  • Attend meetings as necessary and assisting with HR projects, when able
  • Provide on-site C&B / Payroll support to new or existing clients on ad-hoc basis

Requirements

  • Degree holder with 2 years of equivalent payroll or C&B experience
  • Ability to work with Confidential information is crucial
  • Expert in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; Proven ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner
  • Sound numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good experience in payroll, and the use of a computerised payroll system (e.g. SAP), or other relevant database/HRIS is a plus
  • Personal and people management abilities including supervision, team building and conflict resolution
  • Proven ability to work effectively either as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff on all levels

Purpose
BIPO is seeking an IT Application Specialist to work in our Hong Kong office. The candidate is responsible for providing application operations and support, as well as taking charge of central and local project initiatives in Hong Kong and potentially other countries in North Asia.

Responsibilities

First-Level Support

  • Provide and act as first-level support/services provider to analyse and resolve low-level issues of all BIPO applications to end users
  • Coordinate escalation of issues to second-level support and ensure resolution
  • Assist IT solution team in delivering new solution/application to  end users and provide training and guidance
  • Communicate, collaborate and share information with other IT teams to improve the quality of services

Business Application Operations and Support

  • Install and support the applications in a client/server environment and setup
  • Act as primary point of contact for all technical issues related to application system
  • Identify problems and take responsibility for successful resolution of issues, including reporting of bugs
  • Conduct technical discussions with prospective on benefits of application system
  • Create knowledge-based articles for technical resolution
  • Work on multiple projects/problems simultaneously

Business System Maintenance and Monitoring

  • Monitor the running of system situation
  • Review of system user access management and periodical access rights

Internal Network Support

  • Maintain software /hardware inventory and handle all required procurement process
  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Provide a highly available and stable network infrastructure environment to user access for overall operational effectiveness and efficiency
  • Administer and support of computer networking
  • Manage and deploy patches to local countries’ servers

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
  • More than 5 years with a minimum 2 years of application operation and support
  • Strong IT background on business system support is must
  • Proficient in database technology (SQL server or Oracle) and application development
  • Good knowledge on customised business system
  • Expertise with Microsoft Excel/Access/VBA/C# and other web technologies is a plus
  • Possess technical skills such as analysing of business system issues and providing solution delivery

The professional in this role will possess the business and technology acumen to interact with senior personnel internally and externally, be able to form key relationships, and be seen as a project advisory leader. Ability to manage stakeholder needs and expectations is essential.

This is a hands-on position that involves leading many small to medium and large-sized projects simultaneously. This position requires significant attention to detail as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks with geographically separated teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in consulting activities to provide HRIS presales support to enterprise sales team
  • Analyse customer requirements and prepare System platform demonstration environment, system configuration
  • Engage in presales consulting activities including prepare proposals and carry out demonstrations, etc.
  • Ensures that projects meet or exceed expectations by guiding all project activities to include, but not limited to, schedule, scope, UAT and quality control
  • Partner with R&D team internally and with customer externally to design, test, and maintain any necessary integrations, as well as ensure existing interfaces continue to run smoothly and provide accurate results
  • Provides proactive, strategic system consulting services representing HR-owned data to the customers
  • Provides guidance to payroll team members in the areas of project lifecycle, operating procedures, processes and practices
  • Acquires an expert knowledge of existing business and technical processes, and applies this knowledge to assigned tasks and projects
  • Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships

Requirements

  • BA or BS required.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience, managing HRIS projects for full life-cycle, from initiation to implementation and close
  • Prior experience implementing HR systems such as Talent Management, Applicant Tracking, LMS, and HCM is a plus
  • Strong customer service focus and excellent communication skills, including facilitation and presentations
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; proven ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner
  • Sound numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Personal and people management abilities including team building and conflict resolution
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and identify and deal with problems
